Target
Online music shopping site

When Apple released itunes and their music shopping experience on the world Target (a US based retail chain) decided that this was a market they wanted to compete in, we helped them design their service offerings, strategies and implement various releases of them up until the point where Target decided that the market was not one they wanted to compete in after all

The portal wand online shop was called Studio Red and was launched with a massive commercial strategy, Target decided due to monetary concerns to stop the development on their custom shopping site and bought an off-the-shelf solution instead

The site was entirely based on flash with streaming music, artist videos, interviews and user participation elements. We added a dynamic Pandora like user community recommendation engine and an easy to use referral system

In addition an interactive screensaver was created to play live smart stream based upon your previous purchases, to incite new purchases on a "like what you hear?..." scheme
